The BioCer stand during the Congress Viszeralchirurgie NRW 2025 in Essen/Germany.

    Viszeralmedizin NRW 2025 Essen

This year, the Congress Centre in Essen was the venue for the Viszeralmedizin NRW (Visceral Medicine North Rhine-Westphalia) congress. The event, which takes place once a year in Essen or Dortmund, is an important industry gathering for specialists in surgery, gastroenterology and related disciplines.

BioCer was once again present as an exhibitor and presented its latest solutions in the field of haemostasis and meshes for hernia surgery.

The traditional congress was held under the motto: ‘Shaping the future, deepening knowledge, strengthening cooperation’ – a claim that was also reflected in the lively exchange at the BioCer stand.

Well located, well attended – the BioCer stand in focus

Positioned in the centre of the exhibition area, the BioCer stand attracted many interested visitors. Our team on site presented proven products for effective haemostasis – including the well-known HaemoCer portfolio – as well as our surgical meshes for hernia repair.

The focus was particularly on practical questions regarding application, material properties and product safety. Many discussions revolved around the selection of suitable materials for different surgical situations and the advantages of biodegradable components.

Dialogue on equal terms and practical insights

For BioCer, personal exchanges with specialist users and decision-makers from clinics and practices are a central component of every trade fair. In Essen, we were once again able to gather valuable feedback – directly from everyday surgical practice.

The thematic proximity to neighbouring specialist areas such as gastroenterology also offered many points of contact. This once again demonstrated the importance of interdisciplinary solutions and well-thought-out product concepts for successful surgical care.
