BioCer invests in new company location

Since entering the market in 2009, BioCer Entwicklungs GmbH has continued to grow year after year and the start-up has now become a small but established medical technology manufacturer. Despite the challenges posed by the COVID 19 pandemic, the company has been able to record stable growth. With exports to over 80 countries, BioCer has effectively penetrated the most important markets worldwide.

Due to the constant expansion, the current location in Ludwig-Thoma-Straße has reached its limits and in order to continue to meet its own quality standards, the high regulatory requirements and the growing number of employees, the management was challenged to look for solutions.

Against this background, BioCer decided to acquire a new company building and thus move from being a tenant to becoming the owner. The chosen location in Dieselstraße, which was previously used by the insolvent robotics specialist Preccon, offers more than double the space with 1,600 square metres. A large part of the investment sum falls on a significantly larger cleanroom facility with two chambers and the option of a third. This expansion enables parallel production of both product lines, eliminating time-consuming changeovers.

Most of the relocation process is expected to be completed by the end of the year, marking an important milestone in the history of BioCer Entwicklungs-GmbH.
