Digestive Disease Week 2026 Chicago

The Windy City delivered – wind and all. From 2 to 5 May 2026, BioCer made its debut at Digestive Disease Week (DDW) at McCormick Place, right on the shores of Lake Michigan, and it was a perfect start.

Green, eye-catching and a real conversation starter

The fact that our stand was easy to spot was down in no small part to a small but effective decision: our stand staff wore polo shirts made especially for DDW – in the bold green of the BioCer logo, with a design that caused people to do double takes in their tracks in the exhibition halls. Printed in comic-style: all the individual parts of the HaemoCer™ Endoscopic Applicator, clearly labelled and connected by arrows – from the sterile packaging, through the powder container and the Y-connector, to the bellows and the applicator catheter. Anyone who stopped to ask “What on earth is that?” was already engaged in conversation. And that was exactly the point.

HaemoCer™ Endoscopic Applicator attracts international interest

The focus of the presentation was the HaemoCer™ Endoscopic Applicator – our solution for endoscopic haemostasis in the gastrointestinal tract, based on a plant-derived, resorbable haemostatic agent. Biocompatible, atraumatic, free from animal or human components.

Interest at the stand was considerable: in addition to numerous US trade visitors from the fields of gastroenterology and GI endoscopy, there were also concrete enquiries from South America. For BioCer, which was making its debut on the North American market at DDW, this was a strong signal – and a promising start to further discussions regarding a distribution partnership in the USA.

The product is based on a plant-derived, resorbable haemostatic agent and enables precise, atraumatic application even in hard-to-reach areas – without any animal or human components.

BioCer is seeking an experienced distribution partner in the field of medical devices and GI endoscopy for the North American market. The HaemoCer™ Endoscopic Applicator does not yet have US approval – this is being pursued in collaboration with the future partner.
