CMEF Spring 2026 Shanghai

Shanghai called, and the world of medical technology answered. From 9 to 12 April 2026, we were exhibiting at the Spring CMEF (China International Medical Equipment Fair) – one of the most important platforms for the healthcare sector in the Asia-Pacific region. The scale of this year’s spring edition was once again record-breaking: around 5,000 exhibitors presented their innovations to a specialist audience of approximately 200,000 visitors from over 150 countries. In this dynamic atmosphere, BioCer was a proud part of the official Bavarian joint stand in Hall 5.2.

Bavarian innovation for the global market

Our stand (5.2L27) in the Bavarian pavilion was a popular meeting place for surgeons, distributors and partners from all over the world. The focus was on the combination of first-class engineering and highly effective medical solutions. There was particularly strong interest in our absorbable haemostatic agents.

BioCer, a brand of BioCer Entwicklungs-GmbH from Bayreuth, presented the following to the international audience, amongst other things:

• • Plant-based safety: Our haemostatic powder HaemoCer PLUS is a purely plant-based medical device derived from purified plant starch.
  • Efficient haemostasis: HaemoCer PLUS is designed as an absorbable haemostatic agent to safely stop bleeding during surgical procedures.
  • Adhesion prophylaxis: When combined with fluid, HaemoCer PLUS forms a temporary, mechanical barrier to prevent post-operative adhesions.

   

  Networking and leveraging synergies

  The CMEF traditionally takes place twice a year – in spring and autumn. This regularity enables us to maintain close contact with the Asian market and to present our optimised development processes in person. The exchange with trade visitors from 150 nations has provided us with valuable inspiration for future innovations and has strengthened existing partnerships in the long term.

  Conclusion and outlook

  We can look back on our time in Shanghai with nothing but positive feedback. The event’s truly international character and the high quality of the technical discussions reaffirm our commitment to making high-quality medical technology ‘Made in Bavaria’ accessible worldwide.
