Annual conference DGE-BV 2026 Leipzig
Over the past few days, Leipzig has been the central meeting place for experts in endoscopy and imaging techniques. The 55th Congress of the German Society for Endoscopy and Imaging Techniques (DGE-BV) provided a platform for high-calibre scientific exchange, the presentation of technical innovations and practical continuing professional development.
For BioCer, too, the event was characterised by intensive dialogue with users from hospitals and private practice. A particular focus was placed on the further development of endoscopic interventions and the associated management of complications.
Practical knowledge transfer at the DEGEA workshop
A professional highlight for specialist nursing staff and interested clinicians was the DEGEA (German Society for Endoscopy Professions) workshop on the topic of “Endoscopic Techniques – Current Trends and New Developments”. In this context, Dottore M. Sorleto, Senior Consultant at the Department of Gastroenterology in Minden, provided valuable insights into his daily clinical practice.
In his presentation “Safe and efficient bleeding management following interventional endoscopy – clinical case reports”, he highlighted the challenges that complex procedures pose for bleeding management.
Clinical experience with HaemoCer™ PLUS
Dr Sorleto reported on his experience with the use of our plant-based haemostatic powder HaemoCer™ PLUS, using specific case studies. The focus was on the safety and efficiency of its application during interventional procedures.
The following points were particularly highlighted:
- The ease of use of the application system in difficult anatomical situations.
- The positive observations regarding rapid haemostasis in oozing haemorrhages.
- The importance of reliable haemostasis for reducing post-procedural complications.
- The case studies presented underscored how modern haemostatic adjuvants can help ensure treatment success in interventional endoscopy and further enhance patient safety.
Conclusion and Outlook
The exchange in Leipzig has once again demonstrated that technical innovations only realise their full potential through the experience of users. We would like to thank Dottore Sorleto for his in-depth account of his practical experience and all congress participants for the stimulating discussions at our stand.
We look forward to incorporating the insights from Leipzig into our future development work.

Endoscopy specialists gather in Leipzig
When the leading minds in the field of endoscopy and gastroenterology gather for the annual conference of the DGE-BV, BioCer is naturally there too. In 2026, we will be exhibiting in Leipzig for the first time, showcasing our solutions for local haemostasis during endoscopic procedures, particularly in difficult bleeding situations in the gastrointestinal tract.
Focus on practical solutions
We will be presenting our plant-based starch-based haemostatic agents, which have proven themselves in practice thanks to their particularly gentle application. Our endoscopic applicator with flexible tip, specially developed for use in minimally invasive procedures, will also be on display.
Topics such as biocompatibility, resorbability and natural coagulation processes will also play a central role in discussions with colleagues. This is because our solutions not only offer effective support in haemostasis, but also fit seamlessly into modern surgical concepts and evidence-based therapy strategies.
Exchange with a specialist audience
We look forward to engaging in professional dialogue with experts in internal medicine, visceral medicine, and related disciplines at our booth #10—and, of course, to meeting you in person!
Event details:
Location: Congress Hall at the Zoo, Leipzig
